Louie, Community, and Flight of the Conchords

What prematurely aborted or cancelled television series (and its consequent lack of closure) has left you utterly empty inside?
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. It was based on a movie series that should have ended with the second film, and had an absurdly long title. It should have never been as good as it was, but it was quality entertainment, and I ate it up. It went out with a cliffhanger that dared the network to cancel it. They did.

What do you consider to be the most satisfying television series finale ever?
The Shield. The finale solidified the show as a classic tragedy. A very testosterone fueled tragedy.

What is a favorite film that you consider to be obscure or unknown to others?
Attack the Block. Not super obscure, but I still don’t feel like enough people have seen it.

What is a film you have seen that you consider to be an unforgivable waste of your precious time?
I still want my money back from Transformers 2.

Once Upon a Time in the West, Reservoir Dogs, and Casablanca

Who are three film directors whose work you admire?
The Coens, Tarantino, and Kurosawa

The Roots, the Dead Weather, and Arcade Fire

Chris Brown. Let’s see how he likes it.

Ice King. “Who’s sadder than the Ice King?” “Me… watching this.”

Who is your favorite fictional villain?
Gus Fring, from Breaking Bad. Absolutely the most polite, utterly dangerous person you could ever meet. He also had one of the best exits in TV history.

Who is your favorite fictional hero?
Superman. I believe a man can fly.

The Mighty Ducks, coached by Emilio Estevez.

What are your best sports moments as a fan?
When Rocky finally KO’d Apollo Creed. That moment was magical.
