The Wesley Chapel Ponytails 11 and 12 year-old girls softball team is raising money to travel to Alexandria, Louisiana for the opportunity to represent Florida in the Dixie Softball League World Series the week of August 2nd.  The girls hard work on the field paid off when they won the district and state championships over the course of the past month and now they are hoping their hard work off the field will pay off as well as they have been working fervently to raise money for their trip to Louisiana. Unfortunately the WCAA is unable to cover the costs for participation in the World Series.

The girls have had multiple fundraisers at Tijuana Flats, Publix,  and Beef O’Brady’s just this past week. More Hat Drops are scheduled Saturday at Publix (Gall Blvd), Wiregrass Mall, and Publix (SR 56);  and Sunday there will be a Car Wash at 7-11 (corner of 54 & Old Pasco Rd), and another Hat Drop at Publix (SR 56).  At the events you can purchase raffle tickets for some great prizes, including: Rays tickets, Busch Gardens tickets, spa and golf passes, and more.   There have been many generous donations and the team could not be more grateful for the support shown by the residents of Wesley Chapel and surrounding communities.  They are, however, still short of their goal and every bit counts.  If you can make it to any of the planned fundraisers, your support would be greatly appreciated.  Below there is a link to make an online donation.

These opportunities are once in a lifetime, and these girls have worked so hard and come so far. Please, take a moment to read some of the great articles about the team’s accomplishments before making a donation:
